Me and the BF use just some of that cheap cardboardy sort of material from the craft shop. The stuff that is genuinely not soft? The softer it is, the much more give it'll have to it. If you are genuinely desperate for a tight knot, tear your material into three long strips and braid it! Also, keep in mind to use a material that will not irritate the skin!!!
